Step 1. Provide a solution to a problem
The best way to grab people’s attention is to show them you have a solution to their problem. If they believe you can give them valuable information, they will leave their email, your opt-in rate will be high and your email list will grow fast.
To be able to do it, you need to know a couple of important things:
- what are the benefits your product provides
- who is your ideal customer
- what are their biggest pain points
- what problem can your product solve

Step 2: Create a desire
The biggest mistake business owners make with their lead magnets is that they start teaching and overwhelm people. Your lead magnet must create desire because this is the only way you can sell your product and really help your client.
The best way to create desire with the lead magnet is to help your ideal client imagine how life would be like when they have solved the problem and achieved the goal.
Step 3: Sell transformation
Another mistake business owners make is they try to sell products and services. Remember… nobody wants to buy another course, to work with another expert or to get another useless product at home.
People don’t buy products and services. They buy benefits and transformation.
The practical way to show it is by telling a story. Show your and your client’s transformation. Explain how you got from having no followers and struggling to grow – to growing your business on Instagram.
